1.4 POWER SUPPLY UNIT (PSU)

A PSU converts power from the mains (AC) to a low-voltage (DC) power for the main components of a computer. Modern computers use a switched-mode power supply which incorporates a switching regulator to convert the electrical power more efficiently. Some PSUs have a manual voltage selector, while most automatically adapt depending on it’s needs.
