3.1 TYPES OF BACKING STORAGE

Backing storage is any device that computer data can be stored on. Common types of backing storage devices are hard drives, CD’s, DVD’s, memory sticks, and magnetic tapes. Data is usually saved to these types of storage for long term keeping, like tax records or other important documentation.
