3.2 PORTABLE AND FIXED DRIVES
Portable and fixed drives are used to backup work. Portable drives can be plugged into the computer port whenever you need it and you can take it out when not in use, they’re used to store large files which need transporting from one computer to another. Portable hard disk drives are computer storage devices that, unlike the primary hard disk drive, are outside the casing. Portable hard disks are a way to add data storage space without having to go into the computer. Added storage is very popular in the interactive environment of the Internet where large files can be exchanged in moments. A fixed drive is disk drive in which the storage medium is permanently attached within the device. The drive may contain more than one disk.
